Chocolate cake with cranberry jelly is an exquisite dessert that combines a rich chocolate taste with a bright note of cranberry jelly. Here is a recipe that will allow you to create this delightful dessert.
Ingredients:
– 200 g of dark chocolate
– 200 g of flour
– 200 g of butter
– 200 g of sugar
– 4 eggs
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1/2 tsp soda
– 1 cup cranberry (fresh or frozen)
– 100 g sugar for jelly
For glaze:
– 150 g of dark chocolate
– 100 g of cream
Preparation:
1. Melt dark chocolate and butter in a microwave or in a water bath. Let cool to room temperature.
2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until a lush mass is obtained.
3. Gradually add dark chocolate with butter to the egg mixture, gently mixing.
4. See the flour, baking powder and soda through a sieve and add to the dough. Mix thoroughly until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.
5. Pour the finished dough into a pre-lubricated baking dish and bake in the oven preheated to 180 ° C for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cake becomes elastic to the touch. Let the cake completely cool.
For cranberry jelly:
1. Defrost cranberries if you use frozen and change it with a blender or strain through a sieve to get smooth puree-consistency.
2. In the pan, combine cranberry puree and sugar and heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for another 5-7 minutes until it thickens.
3. Remove the pan from the heat and let the cranberry jelly cool to room temperature.
For glaze:
1. Melt dark chocolate and cream in a microwave or in a water bath until a smooth texture is obtained.
2. Cool the icing to room temperature so that it becomes thick and suitable for applying to the cake.
Cake assembly:
1. Cut the cooled chocolate cake in half horizontally to get two layers.
2. Apply half the cranberry jelly to the lower layer of the cake and evenly distribute on the surface.
3. Put the upper layer of cake on the cranberry jelly and apply the remaining
