
The recipe for making a classic cake “Zebra”:
Ingredients:
– 4 eggs
– 200 g of sugar
– 200 ml of vegetable oil
– 200 ml of kefir or yogurt
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 250 g of flour
– 2 tsp baking powder
– 3 tbsp. cocoa-powder
Preparation:
1. Pre -heat the oven to 180 ° C. Prepare a round baking dish, grease it with oil or cover it with baking paper.
2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
3. Add vegetable oil, kefir or yogurt and vanilla extract. Mix to the full connection of the ingredients.
4. See the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl. Gradually add dry ingredients to liquid, thoroughly mixing each time to avoid lumps.
5. Divide the resulting dough into two equal parts. Add a cocoa powder to one of them and mix well to get a chocolate composition.
6. Now the process of forming a “zebratin” begins. Pour one tablespoon of light and dark dough into the center of the prepared form. They will gradually spread in rings. Repeat the process, each time adding the dough to the center until it ends.
7. Put the shape with the dough in the oven and bake at 180 ° C for about 40-45 minutes or until cooked. Check the readiness of the cake by inserting a wooden skewer into it – it should come out clean.
8. When the cake is completely ready, cool it in the form on the grille, then gently remove it from the mold and completely cool before serving.
