
Cake “Classic Pie ‘Banana Caramel'”:
Ingredients:
– 3 ripe banana
– 200 g of butter
– 200 g of sugar
– 4 eggs
– 250 g of flour
– 2 teaspoons of baking powder
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 1/2 cup of milk
For caramel:
– 200 g of sugar
– 100 ml of cream
– 50 g butter
For decoration:
– 1 banana (sliced)
– whipped cream or chocolate icing (optional)
Instructions:
1. Previously heat the oven to 180 ° C and prepare the baking sheet by lubricating it with oil or covering it with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, soften butter and sugar until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Add the eggs one at a time, whipping thoroughly after each addition.
3. In a separate bowl, open the bananas with a fork or use a blender to get mashed potatoes. Add the bananas to the mixture with butter and sugar, mix thoroughly.
4. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add these dry ingredients to a mixture with bananas and oil, periodically mixing so that everything is well combined.
5. Add vanilla extract and milk, continue to mix until smooth.
6. Pour the dough into the prepared baking sheet and smooth its surface.
7. Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the cake for about 35-40 minutes, or until it becomes golden and when inserting a knife into it, it will come out clean.
8. During the baking of the cake, you can do the preparation of caramel. In a pan over medium heat, melt sugar until golden color is obtained. Carefully add cream and butter, constantly stirring so that everything is mixed well. Continue to cook caramel until it becomes thick and homogeneous.
9. When the cake is ready, remove it from the oven and let it cool. Then spread caramel on top of the cake, evenly distributing it over the entire surface.
10. If desired, decorate the cake with chopped banana slices or add whipped cream or chocolate icing.
