
Jasper Cake “Roll Red velvet” is an exquisite sweet dish that combines a delicious red biscuit and a delicate custard. Here is a detailed recipe for preparing this magnificent dessert.
Ingredients:
– 4 eggs
– 200 g of sugar
– 120 ml of vegetable oil
– 1 teaspoon of vinegar
– 1 teaspoon of red food dye
– 180 g of flour
– 2 tablespoons of cocoa
– 1 teaspoon of baking powder
For custard cream:
– 500 ml of milk
– 4 yolks
– 150 g of sugar
– 50 g of flour
– 200 g of butter
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
For decoration:
– jasper (sugar craft)
– Red berries (strawberries, raspberries)
Instructions:
1. Heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Prepare a rectangular shape by laying out its bottom with baking paper.
2. In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until a lush mass is obtained. Add vegetable oil, vinegar and red food. Mix thoroughly.
3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to liquid ingredients, constantly stirring to avoid lumps.
4. Pour the dough into the prepared shape and smooth it. Put in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake will not work out clean.
5. While the biscuit cools, prepare a custard. In the pan, mix milk and sugar, bring to a boil. In a separate bowl, beat the yolks with flour to smooth mass. Gradually add hot milk, stirring constantly.
6. Return the mixture to the pan and heat it over medium heat, constantly stirring until the cream thickens. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
7. In a bowl, beat the butter until you get a light and lush texture. Gradually add custard and vanilla extract, continuing to whisk until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
8. Gently lay the cooled biscuit on a flat surface and evenly apply custard cream on it. Gently turn the biscuit into a roll, starting from the short edge.
