
Recipe for making a cake “Chocolate cake with lemon jelly”:
Ingredients:
– 200 grams of dark chocolate
– 200 grams of butter
– 200 grams of sugar
– 4 eggs
– 150 gr flour
– 1 tsp baking powder
– a pinch of salt
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 2 packs of lemon jelly
– 500 ml of boiling water
– Fresh berries and greens for decoration
Recipe description:
1. Pre -heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and prepare the baking dish, lubricating it with oil or covering with baking paper.
2. Melt chocolate and butter in a water bath or in a microwave. Give the mixture to cool a bit.
3. In a separate bowl, mix sugar, eggs and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually add molten chocolate mass, continuing to whisk.
4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing thoroughly until smooth dough.
5. Pour the dough into a prepared shape and bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes or until cooked. Check with a toothpick or knife – if they leave the cake clean, then it is ready.
6. While the cake cools down, prepare lemon jelly, following the instructions on the package. This usually includes stirring jelly in boiling water and cooling until half -coil.
7. On top of the cooled cake evenly distribute half of the jelly and put it in the refrigerator for solidification.
8. When the first layer of jelly freezes completely, carefully put the remaining jelly on top of it and return the cake in the refrigerator for several hours so that the jelly freezes.
9. Before serving, decorate the cake with fresh berries and herbs as desired.
