
The “chocolate -penalty” cake is a rich and fragrant dessert that combines chocolate cakes, delicate caramel cream and thick chocolate icing. Here is a recipe to prepare this exquisite cake.
Ingredients:
– 200 g of dark chocolate
– 200 g of butter
– 300 g of sugar
– 4 eggs
– 200 g of flour
– 1 tsp. baking powder
– 1/2 tsp. salt
– 200 ml of hot coffee
– 150 ml of cream
For caramel cream:
– 200 g of sugar
– 100 g butter
– 200 ml of cream
– a pinch of salt
For chocolate glaze:
– 200 g of dark chocolate
– 100 g butter
– 2 tbsp. l. honey
Instructions:
1. Heat the oven to 180 ° C. Prepare the baking dish, grease it with oil and sprinkle with flour.
2. Melt the chocolate and butter in a water bath or in a microwave. Add sugar and eggs, mix well.
3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly.
4. Add hot coffee to the dough and mix until a smooth consistency is obtained.
5. Pour the dough into a prepared baking dish and bake in a preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until cooked (check readiness by inserting a wooden skewer into the middle of the cake – it should go out clean).
6. While the cakes are cooling, prepare a caramel cream. In the pan, mix sugar, butter, cream and a pinch of salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar completely dissolves and the caramel cream does not thicken. Cool it to room temperature.
7. To prepare chocolate glaze, melt the chocolate, butter and honey in a water bath or in a microwave. Cool to room temperature.
8. Collect the cake: put one cake on the dish, apply half the caramel cream on top, then put the second cake and apply the remaining cream.
9. Cover the cake with chocolate glaze, evenly distributing it along the upper part and the sides of the cake.
10. Put the cake in the refrigerator for several hours to solidify.
