
The fruit cake is an exquisite and tasty treat that can be prepared using a variety of fresh fruits. This cake is characterized by juiciness, aroma and is perfect for special occasions or just for treating a family and friends.
To prepare the fruit cake, we will need the following ingredients:
– 250 g of butter
– 250 g of sugar
– 4 eggs
– 300 g of flour
– 1 teaspoon of baking powder
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– 200 g of fresh fruits (for example, apples, pears, peaches, cherries)
– 100 g of raisins or other dried fruits
– Sprinking powder
To begin with, heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Lubricate the baking dish with oil or cover it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix butter and sugar until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Add eggs one at a time, whipping after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder, then gradually add the mixture of flour to the dough, gently mixing until the smooth texture is obtained.
Now prepare fruits: clean and cut them into small pieces. If you use dried fruits, soak them in hot water for several minutes, then throw them on a sieve to remove excess liquid.
Add chopped fruits and raisins (or other dried fruits) to the dough and mix well.
Put the dough into the prepared baking dish and distribute it evenly. Bake in a preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes or until cooked. Check the readiness of the cake by inserting a wooden skewer into it – if it comes out dry, then the cake is ready.
After baking, leave the cake on the grille for cooling. After completely cooling, sprinkle it with powder for sprinkling.
