Ingredients:
– 200 g of nuts (it is best to use walnuts)
– 200 g of flour
– 200 g of sugar
– 200 g of butter
– 4 eggs
– 1 teaspoon of baking powder
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
For caramel cream:
– 200 g of sugar
– 100 g butter
– 200 g of whipped cream
Preparation steps:
1. First of all, prepare the nuts. Grind them into a large baby with a blender or knife.
2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, butter, eggs, baking powder and vanilla extract. Mix until a homogeneous dough is obtained.
3. Add chopped nuts to the dough and mix thoroughly.
4. Pour the dough into a baking shape greased with fat and level the surface.
5. Put the form in the oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake the cake for about 35-40 minutes, or until it acquires a golden color and does not pass the readiness with a toothpick (it should come out dry).
6. While the cake cools down, cook caramel cream. In a small pan, combine sugar and butter and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes golden and caramel.
7. Carefully add whipped cream to the caramel mixture and continue to stir until the smooth caramel cream is obtained.
8. When the cake cools completely, cut its upper part to obtain a flat surface. Cut the cake in half horizontally.
9. Apply half the caramel cream to the lower half of the cake, then carefully close it with the upper half.
10. Cover the entire cake with the remaining caramel cream and decorate with nuts from above.
