Caramel cake is a delightful cake with delicate layers of caramel cream and soft biscuit cake. Following this recipe, you will create a real sweet gastronomic masterpiece.
To prepare a caramel cake, you will need the following ingredients: eggs (4 pieces), sugar (200 g), flour (200 g), baking powder (1 teaspoon), vanilla extract (1 teaspoon), butter (150 g), condensed Milk (400 g), vanilla sugar (1 bag), salt (pinch) and milk chocolate (100 g).
Let’s start with the preparation of a biscuit cake. Beat eggs with sugar until lush and light mass. Add vanilla extract and continue to beat. Sut the flour with baking powder and a pinch of salt, gently mix so as not to lose the airiness of the dough. Pour the resulting dough into a pre-lubricated and sprinkled with a form with a diameter of 20 cm and bake in the oven heated to 180 degrees for about 25-30 minutes. Let the cake cool.
Now let’s move on to the preparation of caramel cream. Melt the butter over low heat and add condensed milk. Constantly stirring, bring the mixture to a state of thick caramel. Cool.
Cut the biscuit cake in half horizontally to get two equal layers. Start assembling the cake: Put one layer of biscuit on a tray or plate. Lubricate it with half a caramel cream. Lay the second layer of biscuit on top and evenly apply the remaining cream on the entire cake.
It remains to make the final strokes – the decoration of the cake. Melt milk chocolate in a water bath or in a microwave. Pour the top of the cake with chocolate and, if desired, decorate it with caramel chips or chocolate crumbs.
Let the cake cool a little and freeze in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours so that the caramel cream grabs. The finished caramel cake can be served on the table and enjoy its tenderness and sweetness.
