Classic Pie ‘Strawberry Pie’ (Classic ‘Strawberry-Rum’ Pie)
Ingredients:
– 300 g of puff pastry
– 500 grams of fresh strawberries
– 150 grams of sugar
– 2 tablespoons of rum
– 250 ml of cream (33% fat)
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– 3 egg yolks
Instructions:
1. Pre -heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2. Divide the puff pastry into two equal parts and roll out each of them into a cake shape. Put the shape in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
3. At this time, prepare the filling. Peel strawberries, cut it into pieces and sprinkle with sugar. Add rum and leave for 10-15 minutes for impregnation.
4. Beat the cream with sour cream, add vanilla extract and egg yolks, mix gently.
5. Remove the shape from the refrigerator and put half the strawberries to the bottom. Then gently pour half the creamy mixture.
6. Repeat the procedure with the remaining strawberries and creamy mixture.
7. Put the pie in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until golden.
8. After the readiness of the cake, remove it from the oven and leave to cool in the form before transferring to the tray.
