
The recipe for making a honey cake (Honey Cake):
Ingredients:
– 250 g of honey
– 150 g of butter
– 200 g of sugar
– 4 eggs
– 400 g of flour
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 1/2 tsp Cloves
– 1/2 tsp ginger
– 200 ml of sour cream
– 200 g of condensed milk
– 200 g cream for decoration
Recipe description:
1. In a large pan, combine honey, butter and sugar. We heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, while the mixture becomes homogeneous. Then remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
2. Add the eggs to the honey mixture in turn, whipping well after each addition.
3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves and ginger. Gradually, we introduce a mixture of dry ingredients into the honey mass, alternating with the addition of sour cream. Mix thoroughly until a homogeneous dough is obtained.
4. Warm up the oven to 180 ° C. We lay out the dough for the cake in a pre-prepared baking dish and send it to the preheated oven for approximately 40-45 minutes, or until the cake is baked and becomes golden from above. We check the readiness with a wooden skewer – if it comes out dry, then the cake is ready.
5. We leave the cake to cool in the form for 10-15 minutes, then carefully transfer it to the lattice for complete cooling.
6. When the cake has completely cooled, we cut it in half horizontally. Lubricate one half with condensed milk and cover with the second half.
7. Beat the cream to the peak consistency and cover them with the top and side of the cake.
8. We decorate the cake as desired: you can sprinkle with finely chopped nuts, chocolate chips or use other jewelry to taste.
9. We leave the cake for several hours or at night in the refrigerator for impregnation.
