
The “Honey” cake with jam is a classic and exquisite treat, which is distinguished by a delicate taste and aroma of honey. This recipe is easy to prepare and will allow you to create a magnificent dessert for special occasions.
To get started, prepare the dough. You will need: 500 g of flour, 200 g of butter, 200 g of sugar, 4 eggs, 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of baking powder and a pinch of salt. Mix flour with baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, beat the butter with sugar until a creamy mass is obtained. Add the eggs one at a time, whipping after each addition. Then enter honey and flour, gradually kneading the dough until a homogeneous consistency. Divide the resulting dough into 6 equal parts.
Roll each portion of dough with a thin layer and cut a round shape with a diameter of about 20 cm. Bake each layer in pre-warmed up to 180 degrees from the furnace for about 7-10 minutes or golden color. Repeat this operation with the remaining test.
After all the cakes cool down, start collecting the cake. Take the first cake and apply a layer of your favorite jam on it (for example, strawberry or cherry). Distribute jam evenly on the surface. Repeat this action with all the cakes, applying them one on another with jam between them. Do not cover the last cake with jam.
Now prepare a cream for a cake. You will need: 500 g of sour cream, 200 g of butter and 150 g of sugar powder. Beat the butter with powdered sugar until lush mass is obtained. Then add sour cream and continue to beat until the cream becomes thick and homogeneous.
Apply the cream to the upper surface and sides of the cake. Leve the cream with a shoulder blade or knife. Decorate the cake at will: sprinkle it with crumbs of cakes, nuts or chocolate chips.
