
The Napoleon cake is an exquisite dessert dish, which consists of puff pastry and delicate cream. The taste of this cake combines the crispy texture of the dough and the tenderness of the cream, which makes it one of the most popular desserts.
To prepare the Napoleon cake, you will need the following ingredients:
– 500 g of puff yeast dough,
– 500 ml of milk,
– 4 eggs,
– 200 g of sugar,
– 80 g of flour,
– 200 g of oil,
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar.
The first step is to divide the puff pastry into equal parts and roll out each of them into a layer, about 2-3 mm thick. Then cut the dough circles using a large cover or baking dish.
Next, you need to prepare the cream. Divide eggs into proteins and yolks. In a separate container, mix flour, sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the yolks and mix until the smooth mass is obtained.
In a saucepan, heat milk to a boil. Gradually pour the prepared mass of yolks and flour, constantly stirring to avoid the formation of lumps. Cook the cream over medium heat until thickened (about 5 minutes), then add 100 g of oil and continue to cook until the cream becomes thick and homogeneous. Let the cream cool.
Now put the layers of dough on the baking sheet and bake them in the oven preheated to 180 ° C for about 10-15 minutes or until golden. Lubricate the cooled layers of dough with melted oil.
Gather the cake by laying out the layers of dough and applying a cream between them. The last layer of dough can be sprinkled with powdered sugar for decoration.
It is recommended to leave the finished Napoleon cake for several hours in the refrigerator to soak and acquires a more saturated taste. Serve it on the table in the form of pieces and enjoy the unique combination of crisp dough and delicate cream.
