The Yakhont cake is a magnificent sweet dish that all fans of pastries will definitely like. His delicate dough and a bright filling of berries create the perfect combination of tastes. For this recipe you will need:
– 200 g of flour
– 100 g butter
– 100 g of sugar
– 2 eggs
– 1 teaspoon of baking powder
For filling:
– 300 g of fresh berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries)
– 50 g of sugar
– 1 tablespoon of starch
– 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1. In a large bowl, combine flour, butter and sugar. Pull them into a sand -cleaning consistency.
2. Add eggs and baking powder. Mix well until a homogeneous dough is obtained.
3. Divide the dough into two equal parts and lay one part in the pie for the pie, previously lubricated with oil or covered with parchment paper. Cover the shape and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
4. In the second part of the dough, add starch and lemon juice. This will help cook thick and fragrant filling. Mix until smooth.
5. In a bowl, connect the berries and sugar, leave for a few minutes so that the berries are given juice.
6. Remove the shape from the refrigerator and put the berries on the prepared bottom of the dough.
7. Top evenly distribute the second part of the dough with additives.
8. Heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Bake the pie for about 40-45 minutes or golden.
9. Cool the finished pie in the form, then gently transfer to the dish and serve.
A yachont cake is a delicious treat that can be consumed both in warm and cold form. It goes well with tea or coffee, and can also be a wonderful dessert on the festive table. Prepare this pie, and it will definitely conquer the hearts of your guests with its aroma and taste of berries.
